In 2027, the Norwegian government plans to maintain the level of financial, military, and humanitarian support for Ukraine at the current year's volume, which is approximately 9 billion dollars. This decision has broad support from the Norwegian parliament. This was reported by Ukrinform citing Jonas Gahr Støre, according to the portal PromPolitInform.

This intention was announced by Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gahr Støre during celebrations marking the Day of the National Flag of Ukraine. The head of government emphasized that the volume of aid will remain unchanged, and its allocation will correspond to the needs of Kyiv.

Strategic partnership between the countries

According to Jonas Gahr Støre, such activities are not only a gesture of solidarity but also a strategic contribution to the overall European security system. In addition to financial commitments, Oslo plans to officially formalize the strengthening of relations with Kyiv.

“Later today, Norway and Ukraine will sign a declaration on strategic partnership. It puts our cooperation on a long-term basis,” the Prime Minister stated.

Currently, aid is provided under the Nansen Program. In addition to the visit of the Norwegian Prime Minister, high-level representatives from Finland, Lithuania, Estonia, Denmark, and Latvia arrived in Kyiv for the festivities.
