The confiscated assets of the former Supreme Court chairman are equivalent to 55.6 million hryvnias
The State Executive Service of the Ministry of Justice has transferred over 1.24 million US dollars to the state budget, which were confiscated in the case of former Supreme Court Chairman Vsevolod Kniazev. In hryvnia equivalent, at the NBU exchange rate, the sum reached 55.6 million hryvnias. This was reported by Minfin, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
This confiscation was the result of the execution of a High Anti-Corruption Court verdict. The funds seized in this case became state property after the court decision entered into legal force.
The forced seizure process was ensured by the State Executive Service of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine. The agency emphasized that the verdict itself is only the first stage, while the final completion of the case for the state involves the actual receipt of assets into the budget.
Details of the investigation and confiscation
The criminal proceedings against Vsevolod Kniazev were based on materials collected by detectives from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine. Procedural guidance and support for the state prosecution during the trial were provided by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.
Special confiscation in this case meant the forced and uncompensated seizure of property directly related to the committed offense. The total amount of seized funds was 1,248,700 US dollars.
In addition to this high-profile case, during the first half of 2026, 139.1 million hryvnias were transferred to the needs of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. These funds and assets were obtained by the state as a result of investigations conducted by NABU and SAP, including within the framework of plea agreements.
