Restoration works will begin after the security situation in the city improves
On the evening of September 12, russia struck the energy infrastructure of Mykolaiv, leading to partial power outages in several districts of the city. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine (Катерина Коваль) citing the Telegram channel of Heorhii Reshetilov, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
According to Acting Head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration Heorhii Reshetilov, relevant experts are prepared to begin repair work on the damaged facilities. The start of power restoration will depend on the operational environment and the absence of threats to the personnel working at the sites.
Previous incidents with the power grid
The electricity supply situation in the region remains strained. Specifically, on September 8, Mykolaiv experienced a large-scale blackout, which also affected Kherson, and the reasons for the technical failures required further investigation.
Consequences for commercial infrastructure
It is worth noting that the energy sector and business facilities in the regional center are regularly targeted by enemy strikes. For instance, following a drone attack on September 9, a local Metro hypermarket temporarily suspended operations, as its management is currently assessing the damage and planning further steps to resume activity.
