The Conciliation Board supported placing draft law No. 12278 on the parliament's agenda
The Conciliation Board of the Verkhovna Rada has supported a request to include draft law No. 12278 on the agenda. The document aims to abolish privileged prosecutor pensions and prevent them from receiving both salaries and pensions at the same time. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing the Telegram channel of Danylo Hetmantsev.
The Conciliation Board has agreed to place draft law No. 12278, which aims to reform the pension system for prosecutorial staff, on the agenda of the plenary sessions.
Parliamentary Support for the Initiative
People’s Deputy Danylo Hetmantsev urged the Conciliation Board to urgently bring draft law No. 12278 before the Verkhovna Rada for its second reading.
The initiator of the appeal also called on fellow MPs to support these legislative changes during the vote in the session hall of the parliament.
Core of the Legislative Changes
Draft law No. 12278 was designed to eliminate the practice where prosecutors can simultaneously receive a salary from their primary job and special pension benefits.
The adoption of this document is expected to ensure a more equitable distribution of budget funds and eliminate privileges for specific categories of public servants.
