One-year paper provided revenues amounting to 1.009 billion hryvnias
On October 6, 2026, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine held an auction for the sale of domestic government bonds, raising 2.21 billion hryvnias for the state budget. The largest amount of funding was provided by three-year hryvnia-denominated securities. This was reported by Ukrinform citing Minfin, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
During this auction, the agency offered investors government securities with various maturity periods and yield rates. The bidding results successfully met market participants’ demand for domestic borrowing instruments.
The largest funds came from the placement of hryvnia bonds with a 3-year maturity period. The yield rate for these financial instruments reached 16.49% per annum, allowing the state budget to receive 1.202 billion hryvnias.
Meanwhile, one-year hryvnia securities with a rate of 15.14% per annum brought 1.009 billion hryvnias to the state treasury. All attracted financial resources are directed toward funding the urgent needs of the state budget of Ukraine.
Market participants continue actively investing in sovereign debt instruments amid ongoing funding requirements for the security and defense sector. Domestic borrowing indicators demonstrate a steady upward trend throughout the current year.
Overall, since the beginning of 2026, the Ukrainian state has raised over 349.35 billion hryvnias from bond sales. The total volume of these inflows since the beginning of the full-scale war exceeds 2.36 trillion hryvnias.
Separately, the National Bank recorded significant citizens’ interest in such investments. As of October 1, 2026, the total portfolio of government bonds owned by individuals reached an equivalent of 167.5 billion hryvnias.
