Trump announces financial payouts to Americans ahead of November 3 elections

The total amount of announced direct payments to American citizens reaches $2.35 billion

US President Donald Trump has announced a series of financial payouts for citizens ahead of the midterm elections scheduled for November 3, 2026. The total amount of already announced direct transfers reaches approximately $2.35 billion. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine (Юлія Маловічко) citing Reuters, according to the portal PromPolitInform.

One of the recent initiatives provides a one-time payment of 90 dollars for 20.8 million Americans enrolled in Medicare Part B. The White House explained that these funds are intended to offset rising medical insurance costs through the Medicare Improvement Fund.

Payouts under the Medicare program

At the same time, not all citizens registered in the system, whose total user base is about 70.6 million people, will receive these funds. Low-income individuals, high-income earners, and participants in the private Medicare Advantage program are not eligible for the payment.

Earlier, the presidential administration launched payments of 500 dollars for nearly 950 thousand Americans who purchase insurance through the state portal Healthcare.gov. The White House characterized this step as the return of excessive fees collected under the previous administration of Joe Biden.

Large-scale initiatives and infrastructure

In addition, the American leader proposed paying 5 thousand dollars to all adult citizens if Republicans retain control of Congress. Implementing such a program would cost approximately 1.2 trillion dollars and require approval from lawmakers.

Ahead of the elections, the authorities also announced the allocation of 150 million dollars for the development of power transmission lines in Alaska. These measures are aimed at supporting various groups of voters before the vote, which will determine the new balance of power in Washington.
