France Condemns Strikes on Pryluky and Kramatorsk, Vowing Accountability for Russia

The attacks claimed the lives of over fifty Ukrainian civilians

Paris strongly condemned recent Russian attacks targeting civilian areas and infrastructure in Ukraine. The French foreign ministry specifically highlighted the unacceptable strikes on a residential building in Pryluky and two buses in Kramatorsk. This was reported by Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, according to the portal PromPolitInform.

These assaults resulted in the deaths of more than fifty people, demonstrating a deliberate escalation instigated by Moscow. Paris emphasized that such systematic targeting of civilian populations violates international humanitarian law and is entirely unfitting for a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council.

International accountability for war crimes

The French side assured that the crimes committed by Russian forces will not remain unpunished. Alongside its partners, the country continues to support efforts aimed at documenting attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure to bring those responsible to justice.

Support for Ukraine and future security

Furthermore, official Paris expressed condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the injured. France reaffirmed its steadfast solidarity with Ukraine, pledging ongoing support to resist Russian aggression and secure necessary guarantees once peace is restored.
