Partners plan to improve the use of steel production byproducts
The Algerian national company SNRV has signed a cooperation agreement with the Slovak firm BK Investment. The deal aims to develop technologies for recycling ferrous metallurgy waste. This was reported by UAprom citing Metal Expert, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
The company SNRV, specializing in resource recovery and recycling in Algeria, has officially cemented a partnership with the Slovak entity BK Investment. The objective of the cooperation is to create a joint mechanism for processing industrial waste generated during the steel melting process.
Within the scope of the initiative, the parties will work on increasing the extraction rates of valuable materials from metallurgical waste. It is expected that the introduction of new technologies will allow for wider use of production byproducts, contributing to the development of circular economy principles.
The project is expected to minimize the harmful environmental impact of industrial facilities through the introduction of advanced recycling methods. The steelmaking industry is thus attempting to optimize its raw material base.
Details of the Partnership Implementation
Despite signing the relevant agreement, the project partners have not yet disclosed the financial parameters of the deal. In particular, the total volume of planned investments and the sources of funding for the activities have not been announced.
Technical aspects of the project also remain unknown. The parties have not yet released information regarding the location of the future recycling plant, its projected capacity, or specific timelines for commissioning the facilities.
