Danger alerts were issued to residents across two eastern border voivodeships
Poland has scrambled military aircraft twice in a single day in response to extensive Russian air attacks on Ukrainian territory. Official hazard alerts were issued to residents across the Lublin and Podkarpackie voivodeships. This was reported by Ukrinform citing Government Centre for Security, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
The first public warning was issued in the eastern section of the country during another barrage aimed at neighbouring Ukrainian regions. Emergency monitoring agencies identified the necessity to respond following heavy activity by Russian strike weapons.
Official updates stated that authorities were maintaining round-the-clock monitoring of the operational picture amid the attacks on Ukraine. The Polish Air Force initiated operations strictly within national airspace.
Renewed Response to Border Threats
The Government Centre for Security initially sent safety notifications to people residing in the Lublin Voivodeship. The perceived danger soon subsided, leading to an official cancellation of the heightened alert status for the region.
Only a few hours later, military aircraft had to be deployed again because of a fresh assault directed at Ukrainian targets. This time, emergency notifications reached the civilian population in the neighbouring Podkarpackie Voivodeship.
This second alert period also proved short-lived. Approximately one hour later, all precautionary airspace measures over the voivodeship were formally concluded.
Strikes on Western Regions and Overall Attack Scale
Russian forces continue directing munitions toward western Ukrainian regions directly bordering NATO allies. In Lviv Oblast, air defence units neutralised a hostile drone over Malekhiv, where falling debris triggered a fire in a storage building.
Moscow’s deployment of aerial terror assets remains exceptionally intense. Over the previous week, the invading forces launched nearly 2,700 strike drones, more than 1,700 aerial bombs, and 66 missiles at Ukrainian cities, with ballistic missiles accounting for the vast majority.
