Between 2022 and 2025, Ukraine approved 295 decisions to allocate state grants for the development of horticulture, berry farming, and viticulture. As a result, 3,770.9 hectares of new plantations were established across 19 regions of the country. This was reported by AgroTimes, citing the Ukrainian Berry Growers Association, PromPolitInform reports.
Thanks to state support, agricultural producers created 1,163 permanent jobs and 36,532 seasonal jobs. The largest number of grants has been implemented in Zakarpattia Region. Other leading regions include Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Lviv, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. For 2026, UAH 235,000 million has been allocated to finance the program.
In the structure of new plantations, the largest areas are occupied by nut crops, apple trees, blueberries, bilberries, raspberries, and garden strawberries. This indicates sustained interest among producers in niche crops with export potential.
At the same time, applications for grant support are currently absent in frontline and temporarily occupied regions.
