The International Register of Damage for Ukraine has started accepting claims in new categories, specifically regarding state humanitarian expenditures and demining of territories.

The International Register of Damage for Ukraine has begun accepting applications in new categories covering state humanitarian expenditures and the costs of clearing land of unexploded ordnance. Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov announced the expansion of the list of losses to be claimed from the aggressor state.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, state and local authorities have channeled substantial financial resources into population evacuation, emergency assistance, providing temporary housing for citizens, and paying compensation for damaged housing.
The state records all expenditures for full compensation
A separate block included in the register covers the costs of demining territories contaminated as a result of hostilities, which require significant investments for safe rehabilitation. All these steps are aimed at employing international mechanisms to bring russia to financial accountability for the consequences of its aggression.
«Russia must pay for every crime it has committed and compensate for every hryvnia spent on overcoming the consequences of aggression», — said Kyrylo Budanov.
The Ukrainian side continues to systematically document every item of expenditure related to military operations, forming a comprehensive bill for the subsequent recovery of funds from the adversary. Currently, the work on recording losses continues across all approved areas.
«The enemy created these losses — the enemy will pay for them», — emphasized Kyrylo Budanov.
