The Ukrainian delegation has arrived in Abu Dhabi (UAE), where trilateral negotiations between Ukraine, the United States, and Russia are scheduled to take place. This was reported by Suspilne, as conveyed by the PromPolitInform portal.
At the talks in Abu Dhabi, Ukraine will be represented by the head of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction, Davyd Arakhamia, the head of the Presidential Office Kyrylo Budanov, and the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov.
The United States will be represented by Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and the U.S. president’s son-in-law Jared Kushner.
Russia will be represented by the head of the Main Directorate of the Russian General Staff Igor Kostyukov and military intelligence officer Aleksandr Zorin.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with the Ukrainian negotiating team ahead of a new round of trilateral talks in the United Arab Emirates. He also mentioned the energy truce with Russia, calling it one that “helps build public trust in the negotiation process and in a possible outcome.” He urged the American side “to remain determined in ensuring the necessary conditions for dialogue.”
Meanwhile, President Zelensky announced that the next trilateral meeting would take place in the United Arab Emirates later this week — on Wednesday and Thursday.
As reported, Russia has begun actively promoting the so-called “Anchorage formula,” referring to the U.S.–Russia summit held in Alaska in August 2025. However, according to CNN’s analysis, no real agreements were reached at that time, and the “formula” is more an element of Russian propaganda than a basis for peace negotiations.
