Russians will try to find traitors who will agree to “make a little money” by activating Starlink satellite internet terminals at service centers. Such offers may appear in Ukrainian social media groups, according to Fakty, as reported by the PromPolitInform portal.

The Russians are trying to find ways to “reanimate” Starlink terminals, but all their ideas are “banal.” The enemy could offer “easy money” to Ukrainians who agree to register the system in their own names or as a fictitious LLC, according to radio engineering expert and advisor to the Minister of Defense Sergei “Flash” Beskrestnov.

The enemy will also try to remove terminals from captured drones and similar attempts.

However, all Starlinks that the Russians manage to “reanimate” in this way will certainly be blocked, noted Sergei Beskrestnov. But citizens who collaborate with the enemy face a serious prison sentence.

“This isn’t about setting fire to a car and running away; it’s about coming to the administrative center and essentially recording your crime for the court,” he warned of inevitable criminal liability.

Starlink Blocking for Russians

On January 24, during another attack, the Russian Armed Forces used modernized Shahed-class attack drones equipped with Starlink satellite communications for the first time. A few days later, it became known that the enemy was using Molniya drones with Starlink.

After the Russian Armed Forces acquired drones with Starlink terminals, Defense Minister Mikhail Fedorov approached SpaceX owner Elon Musk to resolve the Shaheds’ access to satellite communications. Musk responded to Fedorov by saying he would be happy to help.

Following this, the American company SpaceX apparently restricted the use of Starlink satellite internet in Ukraine. The connection is disconnected if the modem is moving at speeds above 90 km/h, making it virtually impossible to use on UAVs.

After Starlink was blocked, Russian forces experienced problems on the battlefield. In particular, the Russian Armed Forces had to significantly reduce the number of assaults along the front lines.

As previously reported, the government adopted a resolution introducing a “whitelist” for Starlink satellite internet terminals. A single visit to the administrative services center will be sufficient.

As a reminder, Flash explained that Starlink activation for citizens through the administrative services center is necessary to weed out traitors and so-called “waiters.”
