On the night of February 18, 2026, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with one Iskander-M ballistic missile from the TOT of the AR of Crimea, as well as 126 shock UAVs of the Shahed, Gerber, Italmas type and other types of drones, about 80 of them – “Shaheds.”
This was reported by the press center of the Air Force Command, informs the portal PromPolitInform.
As noted, the air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, EW units and unmanned systems, mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
How did our air defense work?
According to preliminary data, as of 08:30, air defense shot down/suppressed 100 enemy UAVs such as Shahed, Gerber, Italmas and other types of drones in the north, south and east of the country.
A ballistic missile and 23 attack UAVs hit 14 locations, as well as a fall of downed (debris) at 3 locations.
“The attack continues, in the airspace of several enemy UAVs. Follow the safety rules,” the Air Force added.
Massive strikes of the Russian Federation in Ukraine
Russian troops attack Ukraine every night using strike drones and missiles of various types, including ballistics.
We will remind, yesterday, February 17, Russian troops carried out another massive attack on the infrastructure of Ukraine, using attack drones, strategic aircraft and cruise missiles. Several areas were hit.
Explosions were heard, in particular, in Odessa, Dnieper, Krivoy Rog, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Burshtyn, Zaporozhye and other cities.
According to the Air Force, the invaders launched 29 different missiles and 396 drones in Ukraine. 4 ballistic missiles and 18 drones were hit. According to preliminary data as of 09:30, air defense forces shot down or suppressed 392 air targets.
