The Ukraine Transport Support Fund was established in Sweden: four countries supported the agreement

Ukraine, Sweden, Lithuania, and Canada joined forces and signed an agreement to launch the Ukraine Transport Support Fund (UTSF). This was announced by the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development, according to uraua.info. PromPolitInform reports.

Denmark, Germany, Norway, Estonia, and the United Kingdom joined the initiative, signing a joint declaration in support of the fund’s creation.

According to the statement, the new organization will finance small and medium-sized projects to restore civilian transport infrastructure—roads, railways, waterways, and urban mobility.

Deputy Minister of Development Serhiy Derkach noted that the ministry expects the Ukrainian Transport Support Fund to become an effective tool that will enable it to promptly respond to industry requests and launch specific restoration projects. According to RDNA4, Ukraine’s transport system is currently estimated to suffer $36 billion in direct losses, with another $46 billion in economic damage, and the total amount needed for restoration over the next ten years reaches $77 billion.
