lifecell remains the leader in number portability in the first half of 2026

According to the results of January-June 2026, lifecell retained first place among Ukrainian operators in terms of the number of subscribers who used the mobile number portability service. 64.5% of all numbers successfully ported in the country via the MNP (Mobile Number Portability) service during this period switched to the operator’s network. This is reported by Mediasat, the PromPolitInform portal reports.

According to official statistics of the National Commission for State Regulation in the Spheres of Electronic Communications, Radio Frequency Spectrum and Postal Services (NKEC), during the first six months of 2026, 334,341 mobile numbers were successfully ported in Ukraine. Of these, 215,725 were for lifecell. The influx of subscribers to the operator significantly exceeded the outflow. Over the six months, 3.5 times more users joined the network than left it.

It is noteworthy that lifecell achieved such indicators against the background of a general decline in activity in the MNP market after a record start to the year. If in February Ukrainians ported almost 87 thousand numbers, then in June – a little more than 35 thousand. Despite this decrease, the operator retained the largest share of porting throughout the first half of the year.

The operator found out the reasons why subscribers choose lifecell during a survey of MNP users in May 2026. The main motive was named by respondents as special offers for new subscribers. At the same time, 91% of those surveyed said that they were satisfied with the change of operator, and 88% ported their main number to lifecell. Among the advantages of the network, the survey participants noted favorable tariffs and the quality of mobile Internet and voice communication.

“For us, MNP is one of the best indicators of customer trust. When a person transfers their number, they consciously choose a new operator while keeping their phone number. The fact that in the first half of the year, almost two-thirds of all transfers fell to lifecell indicates that more and more Ukrainians are choosing our network due to the combination of high-quality communication, digital services and advantageous tariff offers,” said Dmytro Dzyabura, Marketing Director of lifecell.

Currently, you can transfer a number to lifecell within one business day and keep your existing phone number. You can apply for the service both in stores and online. The operator’s website, monobank online banking on eSIM, and recently the Diya application are available. All tariff plans are open to subscribers who transfer via MNP, including the Lifeset line of the “3 in 1” format. In addition, special prices for the Mega and Maxi tariffs apply to such users. And for people over 55 years old or with a pension certificate, the promotional tariff “Care” is available.

Lifecell has been holding the leadership in the number of new subscribers since the launch of the MNP service in 2019. In May 2026, the millionth MNP subscriber joined the operator’s network.

Earlier, lifecell was the first in Ukraine to launch number portability through the Diya application.
