On the night of February 22 (from 7:00 PM on February 21), Russia launched a combined attack on Ukraine. This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force, according to the PromPolitInform portal.
According to the information, the occupiers used 347 air attack weapons:
four Tsirkon anti-ship missiles (launched from the Crimean Autonomous Republic);
22 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles (launched from the Bryansk and Belgorod regions of the Russian Federation, and the Donetsk region);
18 Kh-101 cruise missiles (launched from the Vologda region of the Russian Federation);
two Iskander-K cruise missiles (launched from the Kursk region of the Russian Federation);
Four Kh-59/69 guided air-to-air missiles (launched from the Kursk region of the Russian Federation);
297 Shahed, Gerber, Italmas, and other attack UAVs (launched from Bryansk, Kursk, Orel, Shatalovo, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and the Crimean Tatarstan Territory).
Approximately 200 of the drones used by the Russians were Shaheds.
The main strike areas were the Kyiv, Odesa, Kirovohrad, and Poltava regions.
The air attack was repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, unmanned aerial systems, and mobile fire teams of the Defense Forces.
As of 10:00 AM on February 22, air defense forces had shot down or suppressed 307 aerial targets—33 missiles and 274 UAVs of various types, including:
two Tsirkon missiles;
Eight Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles;
17 Kh-101 cruise missiles;
Two Iskander-K missiles;
Four Kh-59/69 missiles;
274 UAVs.
At the same time, 14 missile and 23 attack drone strikes were recorded at 14 locations, as well as UAV crashes or their debris at five locations.
