Power outage. Six regions of Ukraine without power due to Russian missile and drone attack

On February 22, Russia launched a combined missile and drone attack on Ukraine’s power grid, causing power outages in six regions. This was reported by Ukrenergo, according to the PromPolitInform portal.

The company noted that as a result of this attack, as well as shelling along the front line, consumers in the Odesa, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, and Poltava regions were without power as of this morning.

Where security conditions permit, emergency restoration work has already begun, and power engineers are working to restore damaged equipment to service as quickly as possible.

Ukrenergo also reminded that electricity consumption restrictions are in effect in most regions of Ukraine. It is recommended that customers check the official websites of their regional power companies for information on potential power outage times at specific addresses. Energy officials urge consumers to use electricity sparingly: limit the use of high-power appliances whenever possible, avoid running multiple power-hungry devices simultaneously, and postpone such processes until after 11:00 PM.
