The court ordered the seizure of spare parts for the An-140 aircraft, valued at approximately $1.5 million, for state ownership.
The High Anti-Corruption Court upheld the claim of the Ukrainian Ministry of Justice and ordered the transfer of the assets of JSC Aviakor to state ownership. This aircraft manufacturer is part of Russia’s defense industry. This was reported on the Ministry of Justice’s website on February 19, according to Korrespondent.net. PromPolitInform reports.
The decision was reportedly made on February 18. As a result, spare parts for the An-140 aircraft, estimated to be worth $1.5 million, were confiscated.
The Ministry of Justice noted that the Aviakor plant is one of the largest aircraft manufacturers in Russia. Its main activities include aircraft production, overhaul, and maintenance of military and civil aircraft, as well as component production. The company is part of the Russian defense industry and provides logistical support for military operations against Ukraine, modernizing, repairing, and maintaining military aircraft.
It was also previously reported that the panel of the High Anti-Corruption Court upheld another claim by the Ukrainian Ministry of Justice against the Russian Rostov Helicopter Production Complex (PJSC Rostvertol), which is part of the Russian Helicopters holding company. Sanctions were also imposed in this case.
The sanctions include the confiscation of Rostvertol assets located in Ukraine in favor of the state. These include 21 sets of helicopter spare parts under a 2011 contract concluded between Rostvertol and the Ukrainian state-owned enterprise Lorta State Plant.
