On the night of February 23, 2026, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with one ballistic missile Iskander-M from the Rostov region – the Russian Federation, as well as 126 shock UAVs such as Shahed, Gerber, Italmas and other types of drones, about 80 of them are “Shahed.”
This was reported by the press center of the Air Force Command, informs the portal PromPolitInform.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, EW units and unmanned systems, mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
How did our air defense work?
According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, air defense shot down/suppressed 105 enemy UAVs such as Shahed, Gerber, Italmas and other types of drones in the north, south and east of the country.
A ballistic missile and 20 attack UAVs hit 11 locations, as well as a fall of downed (debris) at one location.
“The attack continues, in the airspace of several enemy UAVs. Follow the safety rules!,” – emphasize the Air Force.
Shelling of Ukraine on the night of February 23
Russian troops attacked mainly the eastern and southern regions of Ukraine at night. So, the Enemy attacked the Zaporozhye region and the city of Zaporozhye itself all night. As a result of the blows of the Russians, one person died, another was injured.
Also under fire was the Odessa region, where the Russian Federation attacked industrial, energy and civilian infrastructure.
As a result of the night enemy shelling, a 20-year-old girl and a 45-year-old man were killed. Three people aged between 23 and 45 were also injured. Two of them are in serious condition.
