At a working meeting of the Government, 11.2 billion UAH will be allocated from the state budget reserve fund. As explained by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko, the funds will be directed to the protection of Ukraine’s critical infrastructure. News.LIVE reports on this with reference to Svyrydenko’s message on Saturday, March 14. The PromPolitInform portal reports.
Ukraine will strengthen the protection of critical infrastructure
As the Prime Minister noted, a priority need for financing has been formed to protect critical infrastructure facilities in nine regions of Ukraine and the Kyiv region. 210 facilities have been identified, on which work will begin in the coming days.
“For these tasks, we are preparing to allocate 11.2 billion UAH from the state budget reserve fund at the next meeting of the Government. This will allow the construction of new defenses to be launched as soon as possible,” Svyrydenko noted.
She added that they are also currently working on determining priorities for work with international partners. This includes attracting additional funding for the implementation of resilience plans, as well as strengthening the protection of energy infrastructure.
“We are completing work on deregulation solutions and additional business support. We are developing an affordable lending program for businesses for energy independence with a fixed rate of 7% per annum for the entire term of the contract. Within the framework of the “5-7-9%” program for frontline regions, we are extending the lending terms until the end of 2027,” the Prime Minister added.
Svyrydenko also added that the second meeting of the Coordination Center for the Implementation of Resilience Plans was held in Chernihiv. During it, they discussed the status of the implementation of the resilience plans of the frontline Chernihiv and Sumy regions.
“We separately discussed steps to implement the Kyiv resilience plan submitted by the city authorities,” Svyrydenko added.
