According to sources in the Ukrainian Defense Forces, the Ukrainian defenders have been using British drones for the past six months. This is reported by liga.net. The PromPolitInform portal reports.
According to the publication, drones from two British companies were used to attack oil refineries in Volgograd, Yaroslavl and near Moscow, as well as logistics centers. This is the first report of the use of British drones for strikes on Russian territory.
One of the drones is the Nyan, developed by the British company Callen-Lenz, a subsidiary of BAE Systems. It was used to strike Belgorod. The drone has a wingspan of 2.9 m and a flight range of over 240 km.
The second British drone, whose manufacturer is not being disclosed for security reasons, has a range of approximately 965 km. According to the publication, it is launched from a catapult system, which allows for rapid successive launches.
