Naftogaz Group companies have combined resources to intensify the production of blue fuel in conditions of military challenges
Ukrnafta and Ukrgazvydobuvannya have completed work on the first joint project – a gas well with a depth of 5,681 meters. This was reported by Mind, the head of PJSC Ukrnafta Serhiy Koretsky. The PromPolitInform portal reports.
The facility is located on one of Ukrnafta’s fields. According to the division of functions, Ukrgazvydobuvannya provided drilling with its own machines, while further operation and maintenance of the well were transferred to the area of responsibility of Ukrnafta.
“This partnership is part of Naftogaz’s strategy to ensure Ukraine’s energy independence. Against the backdrop of regular enemy attacks on energy infrastructure, increasing our own production remains a priority,” Koretsky noted.
Cooperation allows us to more effectively allocate the Group’s technical resources and accelerate the commissioning of new capacities.
The first successful well was the beginning of a large-scale program: within 2026, eight more facilities are planned to be drilled within the framework of a similar cooperation.
