The state is launching a program to employ Ukrainians over 50

According to the Ministry of Economy, on May 21, an open event dedicated to the employment of people over 50, as well as the Government’s program “Experience Matters”, will be held at VDNH. The event will be held from 15:00 to 16:00 in Pavilion No. 4 on the 1st floor of VDNH as part of the Career Festival. The PromPolitInform portal informs.

The event will discuss such topics as the return of people over 50 to employment, the support that the state can provide, as well as the possibilities of a new model for finding experienced workers for employers and HR teams. A presentation of the “Experience Matters” program is planned, a short conversation with a person 50+ about the real experience of finding a job, as well as a panel discussion with experts, representatives of business and the public sector.

Among the participants of the event:

Daria Marchak, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine;

Ella Libanova, Director of the M. V. Ptukha Institute of Demography and Quality of Life Research of the NAS of Ukraine;

Tetyana Lomakina, Advisor-Employer to the President of Ukraine on Accessibility;

Tina Nikolova, Head and Co-Founder of the Zhittelyub Charity Foundation;

Nataliya Levkivska, Head of CSR Projects at Astarta.

The target audience of the event includes people aged 50+, employers, HR specialists, recruiters and everyone who works with employment and inclusive labor market issues. The aim of the project “Experience Matters” is to develop a culture of adult employment in Ukraine, overcome age prejudices, and support the active professional participation of older people in the labor market.

The project partners are the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, the State Employment Service, the Astarta-Kyiv agro-industrial holding, the Zhittelyub charitable foundation, and the Federation of Employers of Ukraine.

The event, dedicated to the employment of people aged 50+, is an important step towards supporting inclusiveness in the labor market.
