On June 3, Russian occupation troops struck the civilian infrastructure of the Dnipro. One of the enemy’s targets was the ATB corporation’s distribution center. This was reported by TV channel D1 with reference to ATB. The PromPolitInform portal informs.
Official details of the attack appeared on the network, as well as footage of the fire extinguishing and large-scale destruction of the complex from the inside.
The scale of the destruction and the amount of damage
The hit by a Russian strike drone led to critical damage to one of the company’s largest and most modern logistics facilities. This is a class “A” multi-temperature complex with an area of 37.5 thousand square meters. This center played a key role in the life of the region, as it provided goods for about 300 stores of the ATB chain in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions.
Fire and destruction destroyed the racks, roof and warehouse stocks. Currently, further operation of this distribution center is absolutely impossible. The company’s specialists have already begun a detailed assessment of the extent of the damage. According to preliminary estimates, the amount of damage is estimated at hundreds of millions of hryvnias, but the final figure will be announced after the examination is completed.
How will the destruction affect the operation of the stores
The company emphasizes that this shelling is another targeted attack on the critical infrastructure of food supply for the civilian population of Ukraine.
Despite significant losses, the ATB corporation has already launched a plan for the operational redistribution of logistics flows between its other centers. This will minimize the consequences of an enemy strike for end customers, avoid shortages and ensure uninterrupted supply of products and essential goods to stores in Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions.
