Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, as of the morning of July 15, 2026 — the 1,603rd day of the war, the Defense Forces of Ukraine have destroyed the Russian FSB border guard ship “Izumrud” and approximately 1,423,280 occupiers, including 1,470 over the last day.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as informed by the Prompolitinform portal.
On July 14, 2026, the Ukrainian Navy struck the Russian FSB border guard ship “Izumrud,” which on November 25, 2018, took part in the illegal attack on Ukrainian sailors traveling from Odesa to Mariupol on the armored boat “Berdiansk” and the tugboat “Yany Kapu.” At that time, in the Kerch Strait, “Izumrud” fired on the group of ships, injuring 6 Ukrainian sailors, two of whom were in serious condition.
This time, Ukrainian naval forces sank the Russian 2nd-rank border patrol ship “Izumrud” using the Sargan-3000 naval unmanned complex near Novorossiysk.
