The Japanese manufacturer has introduced the sixth-generation Mitsubishi L200 pickup truck in Ukraine with a complete set of updates. The vehicle features a bolder design, improved noise insulation, and an economical diesel engine.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine (Костянтин Широкун), according to the portal PromPolitInform.
The sixth generation of the model marks the 45th anniversary of the lineup and showcases a completely redesigned body utilizing ultra-high-strength steels. The frame construction has been retained, though frame bending rigidity increased by 40% and torsional rigidity by 60%. The wheelbase of the new model grew by 130 mm to 3,130 mm.
The vehicle is powered by a modernized 2.4-liter 4N16 diesel engine producing 204 horsepower and 470 Nm of torque. The transmission features the proprietary Super Select 4WD-II permanent four-wheel-drive system with a limited-slip center differential.
Technical Performance and Driving Comfort
During testing, fuel consumption on the highway ranged from 7 to 8 liters per 100 kilometers. In the urban cycle, the fuel appetite is approximately 8 to 9 liters of diesel fuel for the same distance. Engineers worked substantially on reducing noise levels, allowing the cabin to remain quiet at speeds of 110 to 120 kilometers per hour.
The interior retains analog instruments, traditional climate control buttons, and a conventional automatic transmission selector. At the same time, the model is equipped with an electric power steering system and modern driver assistance features, including adaptive cruise control.
Trim Pricing in Ukraine
On the Ukrainian market, the Japanese pickup is offered in three trim levels. The entry-level Invite version is priced from 1,949,000 hryvnias, while the more expensive Intense and Ultimate modifications cost 1,995,000 and 2,199,000 hryvnias respectively.
