Putin will not achieve his goals in the war against Ukraine, says General David Petraeus

Russia is losing over a thousand soldiers daily due to the effective resistance of the Defense Forces

Russia will not be able to achieve its goals in the war against Ukraine due to colossal losses and effective resistance from the ZSU, believes General David Petraeus. According to him, Ukraine maintains the initiative thanks to technological innovations, strikes on Russian logistics, and the destruction of enemy oil refineries and air defense systems. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine (Мілан Лєліч), according to the portal PromPolitInform.

The Russian Federation is suffering huge losses at the front, amounting to over a thousand killed and wounded daily. Despite attempts to advance in the Donbas, the aggressor’s troops have not even reached key fortified cities, facing fierce resistance from Ukrainian forces.

Ukraine’s Strategic Initiative

The combat and technological capabilities of the ZSU make it possible to successfully isolate the temporarily occupied Crimea and deliver crushing blows to the enemy’s oil refining industry within a radius of three thousand kilometers. Due to systematic attacks on logistics and the destruction of S-400 anti-aircraft systems, Moscow’s export capabilities have significantly decreased, leading to a fuel shortage inside the aggressor country.

Future Warfare

Ukraine is effectively defining the standards of modern combat by massively integrating unmanned systems, artificial intelligence, and cutting-edge reconnaissance assets into a single automated network. According to the American general, under such conditions, traditional massive armored offensives lose their effectiveness due to complete battlefield visibility from the air.

Challenges for the West

The main threats to Ukraine remain the shortage of interceptor missiles to protect critical infrastructure ahead of winter attacks and the lack of funding for the defense budget. Western partners must urgently strengthen their support for Ukraine in missile defense and introduce revolutionary changes in their own armies.
