Zelenskyy Appoints Commander of Communications and Cyber Security Forces

The head of state signed a decree on personnel changes in the army

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed Oleksiy Kovalenko as the commander of the Communications and Cyber Security Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The corresponding document was signed by the head of state and published on the official internet portal. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from Office of the President of Ukraine.

The head of state made personnel decisions regarding the leadership of a separate branch of the Ukrainian army. The respective document was registered under number 931/2026.

Personnel Changes in the Armed Forces of Ukraine

According to the text of the decree, Oleksiy Oleksandrovych Kovalenko was appointed to the position. The new commander will lead the Communications and Cyber Security Forces.

Official Formalization of the Appointment

The president’s decision entered into force after signing the corresponding administrative document. Information about the personnel appointment was published on the official website of the head of state.
