Figure of the Day: Receipts from the unified contribution to compulsory state social insurance totaled UAH 569.9 billion over the nine-month period

From January to September 2026, receipts from the unified contribution to compulsory state social insurance amounted to UAH 569.9 billion. According to Censor.NET and the State Tax Service press service, this is an 18.9% increase compared to the same period in 2025. This information is reported by the PromPolitInform portal.

Last year, UAH 479.2 billion was paid over the nine-month period.

The unified contribution is a key mandatory payment upon which the stability of the social insurance system depends.

It is paid by:

employers;

individual entrepreneurs;

self-employed persons.

These funds finance pensions, sick leave and maternity benefits, unemployment benefits, and other social guarantees.

“At the same time, timely and full payment of the contribution is also important for the payer, as the insurance record is built based on these payments. In the future, this record determines a person’s eligibility for a pension and the pension amount,” the tax authority noted. As previously reported, UAH 192.7 billion in taxes, fees, and other mandatory payments was received by the general fund of the state budget in September 2026.

It is worth noting that the largest contributions of taxes, fees, and payments to the consolidated budget this year come from enterprises in the manufacturing, wholesale and retail trade, public administration and defense, and financial and insurance sectors.
