Malta joins the Ukraine Energy Support Fund

The country has contributed to financing repairs of damaged energy infrastructure

Malta has joined the Ukraine Energy Support Fund. The country has made a contribution to strengthen the stability of the state's energy sector. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.

International support for the Ukrainian energy sector continues to expand through the engagement of new donors. Malta has officially confirmed its intention to assist Ukraine in overcoming the consequences of Russian attacks on critical infrastructure.

Cooperation with international partners

This step will allow for an increase in resources directed toward the restoration of the power system and ensuring the uninterrupted operation of industry facilities. Funds received by the Fund are used for repair work and the purchase of necessary equipment that was destroyed or damaged as a result of enemy shelling.

Energy support mechanism

The Ukraine Energy Support Fund was created to attract financial assistance from international organizations and individual countries. Contributions received allow for the rapid procurement of components and machinery that are critically important for navigating heating seasons under martial law.

The government continues to hold negotiations with foreign partners regarding further financial and technical assistance. The role of international donors is crucial for maintaining the resilience of the energy system in the face of constant destruction caused by the Russian Federation.
