Centravis cuts pipe production by 45% in Q3 2026

New European Union quotas restricted access for Ukrainian products

Ukrainian seamless stainless steel pipe manufacturer Centravis reduced production by 45% in the third quarter of 2026 compared to the previous quarter, down to 2.1 thousand tons. Overall, for January-September, the enterprise produced 9.33 thousand tons of products, which is 6.5% less than in the same period last year. This was reported by UAprom, according to the portal PromPolitInform.

The company explained this drop by the introduction of new European quotas on the import of Ukrainian steel products starting July 1. Specifically, the permitted volume for seamless stainless steel pipes turned out to be 42% lower than previous supplies to the European Union.

New trade restrictions

Centravis Chief Executive Officer Yuriy Atanasov noted that the final limits became known only in June, just weeks before implementation. According to him, such a short timeframe was not enough to find alternative markets for such complex products.

As a result, the enterprise had to urgently seek new clients in various regions of the world. This process is further complicated by wartime security, logistical, and energy challenges.

Previous periods dynamics

Before the strict quotas were introduced, the company’s production volumes were growing. In particular, output increased by 6.6% in the first half of the year, while annual growth rates reached 12% in 2023-2024.

During 2025, the company manufactured 13.77 thousand tons of seamless stainless steel pipes, nearly repeating the previous year’s result. Management forecasts that the current year will be the most difficult since the full-scale invasion.

Work in new markets

To overcome the crisis, the company is operating in several directions simultaneously. Together with the government and European clients, it is seeking a quota review through dialogue with the European Commission.

At the same time, the enterprise is entering new markets by participating in four international exhibitions with its own display during October and November, including OFFSHORE KOREA 2026 in Busan.
