Registration for humanitarian aid is open in six oblasts of Ukraine for persons with disabilities
Persons with disabilities from certain areas of six frontline oblasts of Ukraine can apply for humanitarian cash assistance from the Fight For Right organization. The program provides financial support to overcome risks associated with the war and is not implemented as a state benefit. This was reported by Socportal citing Fight For Right, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
Territorial coverage
Assistance is available to residents of the following districts across six oblasts:
- Dnipropetrovsk oblast — Synelnykove district
- Donetsk oblast — Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk districts
- Zaporizhzhia oblast — Zaporizhzhia district
- Sumy oblast — Konotop and Okhtyrka districts
- Kharkiv oblast — Bohodukhiv, Kharkiv and Lozova districts
- Kherson oblast — Beryslav district
When selecting candidates, additional consideration is given to whether a person is internally displaced, as well as the presence of multiple persons with disabilities in a family. The program does not automatically apply to all residents of the specified oblasts; the main condition is the presence of a disability and residence in the territory covered by the initiative.
How to apply
Registration is carried out online through a special questionnaire by the Fight For Right organization. To participate, you need to open the form and provide the information necessary to assess individual circumstances. The link to the questionnaire is provided in the publication about the program. In case of questions, you can contact the support hotline for persons with disabilities: 0 800 30 66 33.
Terms and limitations
The amount of cash assistance is not determined in advance; it needs to be clarified with the organization’s representatives, as the assistance is aimed at covering individual needs associated with security risks. The organizers warn that funding is limited, and even a correctly filled-out questionnaire does not guarantee receiving assistance. The registration closing deadline has not been announced; the form may be closed once the application limit is reached.
Significance of the initiative
People with disabilities residing in frontline districts may face additional difficulties due to shelling, limited access to transport, medical services and safe housing. Cash assistance makes it possible to take into account individual needs that differ depending on health status, living conditions and war-related threats. However, the program has clear territorial restrictions and targets a specific category of individuals. The amount of payments has not been publicly announced, so claims about a fixed sum without confirmation from the organizers may mislead citizens.
