Ukraine’s Position at the UAE Talks
Volodymyr Zelenskyy clearly outlined the conditions under which Ukraine sees the end of the conflict. The key elements of Ukraine’s position remain:
- Real pressure on the aggressor: Russia must be forced into peace, not merely granted a pause.
- No rewards for the aggressor: Any concessions to Russia would undermine future agreements.
- Security guarantees: Partners must ensure lasting peace through effective mechanisms, not declarations.
The President stressed that any progress in negotiations must be tangible for Ukrainians. The situation must move toward an actual end to the war, not toward a pause that the aggressor would use to rebuild forces and launch new attacks.
