Sirsky claims that the Ukrainian military in 90% of cases defeat the Russians in a rifle battle. Main statements of the Commander-in-Chief

Ukrainian defenders in the vast majority of cases win over the Russian invaders during the shooting battles due to the level of training and training.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky told reporters about this, informs the portal PromPolitInform.

According to Syrsky, the results of combat training are already giving a tangible effect on the battlefield.

“The results of the training are obvious. Ukrainian servicemen demonstrate a high level of training, the enemy suffers greater losses. When a group of servicemen meets in a rifle battle, our soldiers defeat the enemy in 90% of cases,” the commander-in-chief emphasized.

He stressed that combat training is a key factor in improving the efficiency of units and preserving the lives of the Ukrainian military, and this direction is under his constant control. According to Sirsky, the sixth edition of the training program has already been introduced in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the training period has been increased to 51 days with an additional adaptation period of up to 14 days, depending on the situation.

“The number of instructors with combat experience is growing, the material base is developing. The priority is safety. The maximum number of classes is held in protected premises,” he said.

The Commander-in-Chief also recalled that he had previously announced a change in the requirements for conducting basic combined arms training and strengthening the School of Instructors of the Ground Forces, where the emphasis would be on quality, not quantity. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are introducing a new mechanism for recruiting recruits, which provides for the monthly distribution of military personnel in combat brigades, depending on the situation on the front line.

Main statements of the Commander-in-Chief

Sirsky said that in 2025, the Defense Forces of Ukraine conducted three offensive operations, two of which took place on the territory of Russia – in the Belgorod and Kursk regions, another – in the Dobropolsky direction. According to him, these actions disrupted the enemy’s plans to capture the Donetsk region and create so-called buffer zones.

He also noted that territorial recruitment centers in 2025 provided about 90% of the total mobilization in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“Territorial manning centers provide about 90 percent of the mobilization of personnel. This ensures a stable replenishment of the Defense Forces,” the commander-in-chief said.

Approximately 10% of the military joined through recruitment centers.

Assessing the situation at the front, Sirsky said that it remains difficult: Russian troops are advancing along the entire line of contact with different intensity.

“The situation at the front remains difficult. The enemy continues offensive operations along the entire length of the contact line with different intensity. The active front line is about 1200 km,” he said.

According to the commander-in-chief, due to the development of unmanned systems, the battle formations are expanding deep into the so-called circle zone and already reach 15-20 kilometers. The Defense Forces continue to build up and improve the Forces of unmanned systems as a separate kind of troops, all target defeats undergo mandatory verification.

Sirsky added that additional battalions of unmanned systems are being introduced as part of assault regiments, and the total number of drones is growing in assault units and mechanized brigades. Each linear battalion has a UAV company, and each brigade has a battalion.

Also, the modernization of the Territorial Defense Forces continues.

“In each brigade of SRW introduced two battalions of unmanned systems. In particular, three infantry battalions and two UAV battalions were created in the first four brigades of the TRO, which significantly increases their combat capabilities,” he explained.

According to the commander-in-chief, since the summer of 2025, the effectiveness of the Forces of unmanned systems in the fire defeat of the enemy has increased from 4% to 33%.

“Currently, drones account for approximately 60% of the total share of all fire damage at the front. Artillery – 40%,” – said Alexander Syrsky.
