Ukrainian Air Force: Almost a third of drones launched by Russian forces have hit their targets

Almost a third of the drones launched by the Russian military into Ukrainian territory have hit their targets, according to a report from the Ukrainian Air Force. According to PromPolitInform, on the night of February 8, Russian forces attacked with 101 attack UAVs from five directions in Russia, approximately 70 of which were Shaheds.

“According to preliminary data, as of 8:30 AM, air defense forces have shot down or suppressed 69 enemy Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types of UAVs in the north, south, and east of the country. Thirty-two attack UAVs were hit at 13 locations, as well as debris falling at one location,” the report states.

As a reminder, Russia’s leadership denies that the Russian army is launching targeted strikes against civilian infrastructure in Ukrainian cities and villages during a full-scale war, killing civilians and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.
