In Kyiv today, almost 1,400 residential buildings without heat supply.
This was announced in the telegram channel by the mayor of the capital Vitali Klitschko, informs the portal PromPolitInform.
In particular, as noted, without heat, more than 1,100 high-rise buildings in the Darnitsky and Dnieper districts, in which it is impossible to supply heat due to critical damage to the Darnitsky CHP. And more than 200 houses – in different areas where emergency damage occurred, which eliminate utilities and energy.
“In order to support the residents of the capital in this crisis situation, today the Kyiv city council must decide on a loan to purchase generators for the period of martial law and within six months after its termination or abolition,” he emphasizes.
Generator Procurement Mechanism
According to him, most high-rise buildings in Kyiv do not have sufficient resources for the operational purchase of autonomous power sources. Therefore, we are talking about the introduction of a simplified and operational mechanism for financial support of co-owners of apartment buildings.
“Namely, the provision of targeted interest-free loans for the purchase of generators at the expense of the KP “Fund for the modernization and development of the housing stock of the city of Kyiv.” These loans are exclusively for generators. Condominiums, housing cooperatives, cooperative houses, co-owners of houses where condominiums and housing cooperatives are not created will be able to receive them. The loan will be provided at 0% per annum for up to one year,” Klitschko said.
