A regional energy emergency has been declared in the Kharkiv region. According to DS, Oleg Sinegubov, head of the Kharkiv regional administration, announced this following a meeting of the regional commission on energy security and emergency situations. PromPolitInform reports.
“The region is under constant enemy shelling. Given the difficult situation, we have decided to declare the current energy situation in the Kharkiv region a regional emergency,” the statement reads.
Sinegubov noted that regional authorities are initiating an appeal to the Cabinet of Ministers to include the Kharkiv region in the government’s “SvetDom” project.
Under the “SvetDom” state program, residents of frontline areas are given the opportunity to attract additional financial resources to improve energy resilience and ensure the smooth operation of key life support systems in apartment buildings.
