In January 2026, Ukraine imported $6.7 billion worth of goods and exported $3.2 billion, according to Uaprom, citing the State Customs Service. PromPolitInform reports.
Taxable imports amounted to $4.4 billion, accounting for 66% of total imported goods.
The countries that imported the most goods to Ukraine were: China – $1.9 billion, Turkey – $703 million, and Poland – $623 million.
Ukraine exported the most to Poland – $358 million, Turkey – $276 million, and Italy – $232 million.
The following categories of goods accounted for 69% of total imported goods in January 2026:
machinery, equipment, and transport – $2.7 billion;
Fuel and energy – $1.1 billion;
chemical products – $869 million.
The top three most exported goods from Ukraine were:
food products – $2 billion;
metals and metal products – $286 million;
machinery, equipment, and transport – $253 million.
In January 2026, UAH 187.1 million was paid to the budget for customs clearance of goods subject to export duties.
As reported, Ukraine’s trade turnover for 2025 amounted to $125.1 billion.
