Experts recorded signs of coordination and potential external influence
The Center for Countering Disinformation has published the results of its analysis of the incident in the village of Petropavlivska Borshchahivka in the Kyiv region. Specialists recorded signs of a targeted campaign accompanied by probable external interference aimed at destabilizing the situation in the region. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from Center for Countering Disinformation.
The analytical unit closely examined the information coverage of the events that took place near the capital. Experts identified the methods used to amplify this case in the media space using typical manipulation technologies.
Signs of a planned information attack
Specialists recorded a systematic approach in spreading certain narratives through anonymous sources and a network of social media pages. The dissemination of such materials aimed to shape a pre-determined emotional perception among the population.
The experts paid special attention to the synchronization of publications and the appearance of coordinated comments. Such actions indicate the likely preparation of the campaign outside the country to influence internal security.
