The consequences of the enemy’s strike on Kyiv: without heat – 2600 houses, without light – 107 thousand subscribers

2600 residential buildings in Desnyansky, Dnieper, Pechersky and Solomensky districts without heat on February 12.

According to the mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko and DTEK, as a result of the Russian missile and drone attack on the night of February 12, 2,600 residential buildings were left without heating on the capital’s energy infrastructure, the PromPolitInform portal informs.

We are talking about buildings in Desnyansky, Dnieper, Pechersky and Solomensky districts – on both banks of Kyiv.

These figures do not include another 1,100 high-rise buildings in the Dnieper and Darnytskyi districts, which have been without heat since last week after the destruction of the Darnytska CHP. In general, it is about 30% of the housing stock of Kyiv.

In addition, due to the attack, 107 thousand subscribers in the Desnyansky district were temporarily left without electricity.

According to the Air Force, at night the enemy used 24 ballistic missiles, one Kh-59/69 missile and 219 strike drones of various types. Air defense forces destroyed or suppressed 15 ballistic missiles, one Kh-59/69 and 197 drones. At the same time, nine missiles and 19 UAVs hit 13 locations, as well as debris fell in 14 places.

The blow also affected other regions. In Odessa, due to de-energizing, about 300 thousand people were left without water, almost 200 houses were left without heat. In the Dnieper, heat supply was stopped for 10 thousand subscribers; the city is switching to alternative sources and block-modular boiler houses for social facilities.

One of DTEK’s thermal power plants was also under attack.

As of 13:00, in Kyiv, power engineers returned the light to 100 thousand families after a massive attack, and Desnyansky district returns to temporary schedules.
