Leak of personal data of NBU clients: what has been revealed
According to the press service of the National Bank, as a result of a breach of the contractor’s system, attackers may have gained access to the personal information of marketplace users.
This information includes the following:
buyer’s first and last name;
mobile phone number;
email address;
delivery address for ordered coins and souvenirs.
Are bank cards and financial transactions safe in the NBU online store?
The National Bank noted that the attack did not affect banking gateways. Customer financial security remains high, as critical information was not stored on the contractor’s resources.
“At the same time, none of your financial data—payment card details or other confidential information related to banking transactions—was compromised,” the NBU noted.
The National Bank warned that attackers could use this data for phishing and urges online store customers to be vigilant.
