“Unique operation”: in Kupyansk, the invaders surrendered via Telegram chatbot (VIDEO)

A group of Russian military in Kupyansk (Kharkov region) voluntarily used the “I want to live” program on Telegram to safely surrender. The video of the special operation to search and rescue Russians was published by the National Guard of Ukraine “Charter” on YouTube on February 19, informs the portal PromPolitInform.

“A unique operation in Kupyansk… The Russian infantryman participated in the infiltration actions of the Russian army in the Ukrainian city in the Kharkiv region, but, without waiting for support and support from the command, decided to voluntarily be captured, “the Charter comments.

According to the captive, the process of surrender began with the fact that he sent personal data and location to the chatbot. Then he and two of his colleagues received instructions from specially appointed employees who coordinated a safe exit from the positions.

“I wrote to the hotline in Telegram “I want to live.” First, the bot answered me, recorded all my data, then I sent the position where I was,” said one of the soldiers.

The military moved in groups of one to the meeting place, where they were checked for weapons and taken to a safe place. Everyone was provided with food, medical care, they were protected from violence.

“Surrender to captivity. Do not be afraid! Here no one will mock you. They do not beat, feed, water, give them a smoke – everything is fine,” added the grenade launcher who used the program.

One of the prisoners said he had signed a contract with the Russian army after a court verdict and a fine, hoping to get rid of his criminal record and debts. However, according to him, promises were not fulfilled – he was immediately sent to the assault unit to the front.

After a short preparation, he, along with other military men, was sent on an assault mission. According to the prisoner, the unit was transferred to the Kupyansk region along a non-standard route – they overcame part of the road inside the technical pipe. The total distance, according to his estimates, reached about 13 km.

After leaving the pipe, the military entrenched in one of the multi-storey buildings, from where they had to monitor the situation and transmit information to the command. According to the prisoner, for more than five months in positions they did not have rotation and proper support.

The Russian says that they made the decision to surrender together with their colleagues – at first they hesitated and were afraid, but in the end they agreed, because they saw no other way to survive. According to him, part of the military in neighboring positions keeps the command from surrendering with constant intimidation about the alleged ill-treatment.
