Since the end of January this year, on the Alexander direction, the Defense Forces of Ukraine have regained control over 400 km ² territory and eight settlements.
This was announced in his Facebook post by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, thanks to the efforts of the DSV group and related units, informs the PromPolitInform portal.
Now the commander-in-chief, according to him, is directly on the directions of performing combat missions in the Southern Operational Zone.
“During the next working trip, I visited the advancing units and units that keep the defense on one of the key sections of the front,” Sirsky said.
According to him, a meeting was held with commanders at the scene of hostilities. “We discussed the state of combat missions, problematic issues and proposals for their solution. Identified the first steps to strengthen the defense and ensure our units. Logistics, evacuation of the wounded, uninterrupted delivery of ammunition, technical support of units are the necessary conditions for our stability,” said Syrsky.
As noted by the commander-in-chief, the situation in this area is difficult.
“The enemy continues to exert pressure, actively uses small assault groups for infiltration, uses artillery, unmanned vehicles, and sometimes armored vehicles,” Alexander Syrsky emphasized.
But our soldiers, according to him, not only hold the defense but also successfully operate in the offensive, during which control over 400 km ² territory and eight settlements was restored.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also noted the servicemen of the 82nd and 95th air assault brigades for courage, endurance and professionalism in battle, thanked everyone who keeps the ranks every day.
“I talked to our soldiers separately. Their confidence, calmness and fighting spirit are unbreakable. Our plan is unchanged: effective fulfillment of the tasks with maximum preservation of the life and health of our defenders and defenders, strengthening of defense capabilities and building up capabilities in each sector of the front,” Sirsky emphasized.
