On the night of February 26, Russian invaders attacked Ukraine with 2 Zircon anti-ship missiles, 11 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles, 24 Kh-101 cruise missiles, 2 Kh-69 guided aircraft missiles, as well as 420 strike UAVs of the Shahed, Gerber, Italmas type and other types of drones.
This was reported in the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, informs the portal PromPolitInform.
According to the military, the Russians launched Zircon missiles from the temporarily occupied Crimea, ballistic missiles from the territory of the Bryansk and Rostov regions. The enemy attacked with cruise missiles from the Volgograd region.

Air defense operation result
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, EW units and unmanned systems, mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 10:00, air defense shot down/suppressed 2 anti-ship missiles Tsirkon, 4 ballistic missiles Iskander-M/S-400, 24 cruise missiles Kh-101, 2 guided aircraft missiles Kh-69 and 374 enemy UAVs such as Shahed, Gerber, Italmas and drones of other types.
5 ballistic missiles and 46 attack UAVs were hit at 32 locations, as well as shot down (debris) at 15 locations.
Information on several enemy missiles is being clarified.
The Air Force stressed that the enemy attack continues.
Massive shelling on February 26
On February 26, Russia carried out another combined attack on the territory of Ukraine, using strike drones and missiles of various types. Residential quarters and industrial enterprises in several regions were under attack.
Zaporozhye. The city was attacked by drones. Nine people were injured. Residential high-rise buildings and shopping centers were damaged, fires arose.
Kharkiv region. The region was under attack by Russian drones and missiles. The hit was recorded in several districts of Kharkov and in the village of Rai-Olenovka, Kharkov region. According to preliminary data, 14 people were injured, among them a child. Apartment and private dwellings were destroyed.
Poltava region. Recorded hits on industrial facilities and the private sector in the city of Poltava and the region. Damaged production equipment, a residential building and power lines.
Odessa region. As a result of the enemy’s attack, the energy object was damaged.
Kyiv. In several areas of the capital as a result of the attack there were fires, there is destruction. In the Pechersky district, a two-story residential building was burning, in Darnitsky – windows and doors in a high-rise building were damaged by an explosion wave.
