Starting March 1, 2026, pensions and insurance payments for Ukrainians will be indexed by 12.1%. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, according to Ekonomichna Pravda. PromPolitInform reports.

“This increase exceeds last year’s inflation rate and will help maintain people’s income levels in the face of rising prices,” the statement reads.

The recalculation will occur automatically and will cover almost all basic types of pensions: old-age, military, disability, survivor’s, and special pensions for former employees of local governments, civil servants, and scientists.

Minimum pension payments for war-related disabilities, combat veterans, and insurance payments for citizens injured in accidents have also been indexed.

Starting April 1, working pensioners will have their pensions automatically recalculated based on their updated length of service and/or earnings.

Payments are provided within the Pension Fund budget.

As a reminder:

Minister of Social Policy Denys Ulyutin noted that the Pension Fund budget for this year projects an average pension of 6,500 hryvnias.

The government has allocated funds to pay suspended pensions. Some citizens suspended payments due to the need to undergo physical identification and submit a declaration of non-payment from the aggressor state.
