Local truce for repair works introduced near ZNPP – IAEA

Since February 27, 2026, a local ceasefire has been established near the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhya NPP to repair the backup power line.

This was reported in the International Atomic Energy Agency, informs the portal PromPolitInform.

The IAEA noted that demining and other preparatory work had already begun near the damaged section of the Ferroalloy-1 line with a capacity of 330 kV.

“Demining work is ongoing to ensure the safe access of repair teams,” said IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi.

On February 19, 2026, the IAEA reported that the reserve line failed on February 10 “due to hostilities.” The station continued to operate, relying on the Dnieper power line with a capacity of 750 kV.
