Since the beginning of March, the Russians have already attacked the Ukrainian railway 18 times.

On the morning of March 4, a Russian drone hit an empty train in Nikolaev, as a result of the attack, an employee of Ukrzaliznytsia suffered, said Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine – Minister of Development of Communities and Territories Alexei Kuleba and «Ukrzaliznytsia», informs the portal PromPolitInform.

The drone hit an empty train that arrived for maintenance. As a result of the blow, an employee of Ukrzaliznytsia was injured, he received the necessary medical care.

In addition, on the evening of March 3, the Russians tried to attack a passenger train with a drone connecting the Dnieper – Kovel. Railway workers quickly stopped the train and evacuated passengers. The drone exploded a few meters from the locomotive, people were not injured. After the threat disappeared, the train continued to move.

According to Ukrzaliznytsia, since the beginning of March, Russian troops have already attacked railway facilities 18 times – an average of six strikes per day.

During this time, 41 objects of Ukrzaliznytsia were damaged. The main target of Russian attacks was rolling stock: 17 pieces of equipment were damaged, in particular locomotives, freight cars and specialized equipment for repairing infrastructure.

Railway depots and bridges were also under attack, with most attacks recorded near the front line.

On March 2, in the Kryvyi Rih district of the Dnipropetrovsk region, a Russian drone hit a suburban train car that was in motion. As a result of the attack, one person died, 9 were injured.

On January 27, Russian drones attacked a passenger train connecting Chop – Barvinkovo in the Kharkiv region. Then six people died.
