President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported that he instructed the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Intelligence, Minister of Defense, Military Command and Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council to prepare proposals for supporting states that seek assistance due to the threat of Iranian strike drones. According to Zelensky, Ukraine is holding consultations with partners in Europe, the United States and Iran’s neighboring countries. He noted that these states are openly talking about the serious challenge associated with the use of Iranian strike drones.
The President reported that partners are already turning to Ukraine with requests for support to stabilize the situation and protect life. At the same time, he emphasized that assistance should be provided in such a way that it does not weaken Ukraine’s defense.
Zelensky also stated that the Ukrainian military has the necessary capabilities, and Ukrainian experts will work on the ground – the relevant agreements are ongoing.
What is known about Ukraine’s assistance to US allies in the Middle East
Earlier, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced his intention to involve Ukrainian specialists to help partners in shooting down Iranian drones.
At that time, Zelensky noted that he had not received direct requests for such assistance – neither from Great Britain, nor from other partners or representatives of the Middle East, while expressing Ukraine’s readiness to share experience with the states that supported it.
