48% of respondents hope for surprises from loved ones, 19% will be satisfied with warm words in messengers.
On the eve of International Women’s Day, the Rakuten Viber team conducted a survey to find out the mood of Ukrainian women. More than 30 thousand respondents took part in the study, most of whom are under the age of 45. This is reported by “Nash Kyiv“, the PromPolitInform portal informs.
Almost half of those surveyed (48%) are counting on gifts this year, with the majority (39%) expecting pleasant surprises from their closest circle – family or friends.
Compared to 2025:
The number of those expecting gifts from relatives has increased from 35% to 39%.
The share of women who do not expect any congratulations has increased to 27% (versus 25% in 2025).
19% of respondents will be satisfied with just warm words or messages in messengers.
Only 6% consider the best gift to be a contribution to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which is significantly less than last year, when this figure reached 14%.
Despite the discussions about the format of the celebration, for most Ukrainian women, March 8 remains an occasion to show attention in the family circle. Work and educational groups have receded into the background – only 9% expect corporate gifts.
